As we come to the close of 2025, we want to take a moment to reflect on the compassion, resilience and progress made through Animals Worldwide over the past year. Despite the challenges facing animals and the people who care for them across the world, this year has been one of connection, commitment and meaningful impact.
Supporting animals in crisis
Throughout the year, we have continued to support frontline animal welfare work in some of the most difficult environments.
In Gaza, Dr Rakan and his dedicated team have continued their extraordinary efforts to treat and care for animals suffering from injury, trauma and neglect. Working in incredibly challenging conditions, their compassion and determination have made a real difference to countless animals in need. We are deeply grateful for their ongoing commitment and courage.
In Ukraine, we were moved to receive a heartfelt update from Oksana, sharing moments of warmth and comfort amid ongoing hardship. Even in the most difficult circumstances, the care being given to animals continues to bring moments of peace and normality. It has been incredibly touching to see how kindness still finds a way through, even during times of conflict.
End of year giving and support
As part of our end-of-year giving, donations were made to several organisations doing vital work:
- KAT Centre (Kathmandu Animal Treatment Centre) – supporting the welfare of street dogs and other animals in Nepal.
- Refugio Jill Phipps – a sanctuary offering safety and care for animals rescued from slaughter.
- Foodbank for Pets – helping families struggling to feed their animals during difficult times, with continued support from the wonderful team at Gladwells in Cliftonville.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped make this possible.
A big step forward
This year also marked an important milestone for Animals Worldwide with the launch of our online banking facility, making it easier and more transparent for supporters to donate and for us to distribute funds where they are needed most.
We have also begun working with more small charities, expanding our reach and strengthening the network of grassroots organisations doing life-changing work for animals around the world.
Looking ahead to 2026
As we move into the new year, we do so with hope, purpose and determination. There is still so much work to be done, but with continued support, collaboration and compassion, we can help even more animals in need.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us this year — through donations, messages of encouragement, and belief in what we do. We look forward to continuing this journey together in 2026, supporting animals worldwide and standing alongside those who care for them.
