🎉 Welcome to 2025 — A Year of Giving and Gratitude 🎉
As we move into the new year, Animals Worldwide is already off to a strong and compassionate start. With continued support from our wonderful community, we’re proud to report on recent grants, fundraising successes, and growing partnerships to help animals both locally and abroad.
🌍 Supporting Stray Cats in Greece
We’re pleased to confirm that on January 20, 2025, Animals Worldwide awarded a £500 grant to the Let’s be S.M.A.R.T. animal welfare charity — an organisation working tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of stray cats in Greece.
In a letter of thanks, the team wrote:
“We are very grateful for the AW support of our work aiming at alleviating the suffering of stray cats in Greece.
With gratitude from our Let’s be S.M.A.R.T. Team.”
We are proud to support this life-saving work and the incredible dedication of the Let’s be S.M.A.R.T. team.
🐶🐱 Supporting Local Pets in Need
Back home, we continue our mission to support animals and families struggling with the cost of pet care. Here’s what we’ve achieved in early 2025:
📅 Quiz Night – 8th February 2025
Our first fundraising event of the year, held at the Sarah Thorne Theatre in Broadstairs, was a fantastic success — raising £428 to buy pet food for local food banks.
In addition to the funds raised, guests also brought along a generous quantity of dog and cat food, showing just how strong our community spirit remains.
🧺 Pet Food Donations Ongoing
With the funds raised, we’ve already purchased £70 worth of food, and donations will continue over the coming months as and when food banks need them.
A huge thank you to Gladwells in Cliftonville, who also provided a box of short-dated treats and have now kindly agreed to host our “Foodbanks for Pets” donation basket in-store — making it easy for local shoppers to donate pet food for animals in need.

🐾 A Year of Compassion Ahead
2025 is just getting started, and already we’re seeing the impact of community action — from Greece to Thanet. Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, or simply helped spread the word.
We look forward to sharing more good news and more opportunities to get involved throughout the year.
